Hello Cat Lovers!
Happy February! We are three weeks into our annual residency at Heatherwood Elementary. Amanda, Nika, and our new Education Director Caulene Hudson, are all working together this year to lead over 50 second-graders in writing and performing their own original musical.
You heard that right: we are thrilled to announce a new addition to our team, our new Education Director, Caulene Hudson! With a passion for both theatre and education, Caulene brings a wealth of experience and creativity to our educational programs.
Caulene Hudson plans on spending this season implementing The Catamounts’ signature children’s programs and residencies alongside our Artistic Director Amanda Berg Wilson. Together they will use this season to do some strategic planning for the expansion of our educational programs
We are also super excited to announce that registration is open for 2024’s Camp Catamounts’ which will be held at the beautiful Lone Hawk Farm in June. Led by Amanda and Caulene, with guest artists and musicians, campers will create and perform all at once as they explore themes of the summer season through songwriting, theater games, storytelling, dance–and this year, cooking!.
The end product will be an all-original, live-accompanied production, with a meal served to the audience! inspired by The Catamounts’ wildly popular FEED events. Campers will work with Chef Sakina Mwandani of Savory Catering to create a meal that will accompany their performance. This unique experience will all take place on Lone Hawk Farm, a scenic, organic farm in Longmont, Colorado.
