We are casting the following roles. (Please note: the stated gender corresponds to the gender of the character. We welcome actors of any gender to audition for any roles to which they may be well suited.)
1. MRS. HORTON, Woman, Any race or ethnicity, 40s-50s, Alto. Recently abdicated Empress of Lilliput, and the team’s Director of Analytics.
2. PHIL JACKSON, Man, Any race or ethnicity, 40’s-50’s. Recently abdicated Emperor of Lilliput, and coach of his country’s basketball team.
3. PIPPIN, Man, Any race or ethnicity, Tenor. Assistant coach to Phil. Former royal advisor. A psychopath.
4. MAGIC, Man, Any race or ethnicity, 20’s-30’s. A player and battler of giant rats. Bird’s boyfriend.
5. MICHAEL JORDAN, Man, Black, 20s or early 30s. Not THE Michael Jordan. A never-was
journeyman basketball player. Been bounced around the world playing for small market/small
country teams, and wants no more of it. He’s washed up on his last beach.
6. BOB, A Male Reporter, seated in the audience. One of our two non-Lilliputians. They sit with us, the audience, because, often, they are us — our stand-ins, the spoken out loud voices in our heads as we watch the play. They’ve got questions.
The roles of BIRD, LILY, and LAURA have already been cast.
